Bruce Pascoe

2019 Speaker

A man of Yuin and Bunurong/Tasmanian heritage now living in East Gippsland, Bruce Pascoe published and edited Australian Short Stories magazine from 1982-1999.

 

He is a board member for the Aboriginal Corporation for Languages.

  • Prime Minister's Literature Award for Young Adult fiction 2013

  • Radio National Short Story 1998

  • FAW Short Story 2010

  • New South Wales Premiers' Book of the Year 2016

​

He was awarded the Australia Council for the Arts Lifetime Achievement Award for Literature in 2018.
